The Anals have been around since 2001. The band was originally based in Invercargill. Buck Anal moved to Dunedin and soon enough they were playing regular gigs at Crown, Re-Fuel and occasionally Arc.
Years have gone by and the band has evolved. They don't play alot these days, but when they do, LOOK OUT!!
The band was always appreciated more by the Dunedin crowd, as Invercargill has always been more the serious Metal kind of place. Many people in Invercargill didn't know what to think of a band with a name and attitude this outrageous. Most of the time people actually believed they must have been a band of homosexuals.
The Anals Have played many a gig in Dunedin , more than they have in Invercargill in fact. Sad thing is, they have yet to play anywhere else. Will this day come??
