Zimbe! African Folk with a Jazz Twist
City of Dunedin Choir, David Burchell, conductor, St Paul's Cathedral Choristers, Southern Children's Choir, Jazz Quintet
This concert includes 'Zimbe!' by Alexander L'Estrange, and the Negro Spirituals from Tippet's oratorio 'A Child of Our Time'. 'Zimbe!' is a vibrant sequence of African songs charting a day in the life of an African village.
