Final, 31st May at Refuel, 9pm

The heats are over; the judges have picked their finalists, it’s time for the real competition to begin. Saturday night is shaping up to be a tough one for the judges with a talented lineup of bands all wanting to take out the top prize.

The 9 bands competing are

Tono and the Finance Company
Incarnate
Sharkbait
The Biff Merchants
Ashes of Eden
Low Speed Bus Chase
Sunset Cinema
Fil Basik
Plus the wildcard – Pimping Dave and the Pirate Hookers

Bands are judged on:
Stage presence
Crowd appreciation
Musical/technical ability
Originality
X factor

First prize is a whopping $1000 plus $500 worth of Radio One advertising…plus paid gigs here and at Canterbury University Re-Orientation 2008…and a paid gig at OUSA Orientation 2009!

Second Prize is $700 plus $300 worth of Radio One advertising.

Third Prize is $500 plus $150 worth of Radio One advertising.
