Blistering Tongues` planned tour has been altered due to their bass player Ham "off the bone" Henderson deciding to leave the band indefinately.
The band had planned to tour Otago and up to Wellington then record for 2 weeks. Ex-Tongues bass player Jimmy Dickson has stepped up to fill in for Ham in the Otago shows...
The Penguin Club - Oamaru - 1st July
The Red Rock - Wanaka - 2nd July
Dux De Lux - Queenstown - 3rd July
The Backstage - Dunedin - 4th July
(The Christchurch and Wellington gigs have been canned)
Then follows 2 weeks of recording in Dunedin , which will hopefully lead to the long-awaited 2nd studio album , the first - "Give Jesus A Semi" being released all of 7 years ago. This next installment of filthy rock is purported to be a double album consisting of older songs that have never been `studio` recorded , and a disc of brand new songs.
Having 12 and a half years of playing under their belts may sound dirty , but thats nowhere near as dirty as experiencing their `live` act for yourself. Half time oranges don`t seem to get a look in at all when The Tongues are in full swing , living true to their name they don`t seem to be truly satisfied until they sport blisters on the most sensitive regions of their peppered boundaries.
Blistering Tongues themselves have no idea when the band will play `live` again after this round of shows , so be sure to catch them this time , or forever hold your codpiece.
