With three simple words, Idiot Prayer, one of Dunedin's best bands of recent times, bade farewell to its faithful with a farewell performance on January 21, 2012, at XII Below.
The band's two-year lifespan encompassed 45 performances, and a single studio document, the EP Falconer.
Now Idiot Prayer is making a string of live recordings available for download via Bandcamp. This series includes the group's beginnings on rough minidisc and its last climactic, professionally recorded performance. What follows is an obituary, a biased heartfelt love letter, and a pained remembrance. Rest in Peace, Idiot Prayer.
