Press Release - Album Launch - Julian Temple Band - Ceiling In The Sky

Julian Temple Band is extremely excited to announce the launch of their brand new album Ceiling In The Sky on October 17th, 2015. To celebrate the release the Dunedin four-piece are embarking on a tour of NZ spanning over the spring and summer months, including an appearance with the Black Seeds at the Dunedin Craft Beer & Food Festival and performances at the Lake Hawea New Year's Eve Festival and Waikeri Fest in Alexandra.

Ceiling In The Sky, the bands fifth studio album and the first in three years, was recorded at Albany Street Studios in Dunedin, mixed by Mike Holland (Left Or Right, Fu King) mastered by Tex Houston (The Clean, The Verlaines, The 3Ds, Dimmer) and comes out on California based record label Oscillosonic Records.

Following up from the critically acclaimed Upsidedownbackwards, which reached No 7 on the Official NZ album charts and received nominations in the International Songwriting Competition and the Hollywood Music In Media Awards, Ceiling In The Sky is the band's most infectious and focused release to date, having already created great anticipation in NZ and abroad - "haunting, in a beautiful sort of way" (Boo Boo Records, USA), "sprinkles of violin throughout, moody guitar and soaring contrasts of vocal dexterity" (M2 Magazine, NZ).

Ceiling In The Sky comes out on Oscillosonic Records on October 17th, 2015 with a launch party being held at Re:Fuel, Dunedin with performances from JTB, Owls, The Violet-Ohs, Ragged and Tsunami. The album will be available at all shows and via, iTunes,, Spotify, plus more TBA. For a list of further performance dates and venues please visit
