Niamh (Neve) O'Flynn is a 19 year old Dunedin based singer/songwriter who writes and performs in a variety of styles. She has been performing for the past five years, both as a solo artist, and as lead singing, rhythm guitarist and writer for several bands. In 2004, Niamh's band won the Otago regional finals of the Smokefree Rockquest, and also won the award for best song. In the 2005 Smokefree Rockquest, Niamh won the award for female musicianship in Otago. In the same year, her song, 'Twisted Lines', appeared on the Play It Strange top 30 CD.She has placed innumerous songwriting competitions since then.
In early 2006, Niamh travelled to Europe, where she was fortunate enough to play, on several occasions, in a tablaeu with several of Spain's top Flamenco musicians in Andalucia.
Niamh's music ranges from soft jazz, to soft rock and pop, with her sound fitting somewhere between K.T. Tunstall and The Barenaked Ladies.
