The Nook & Cranny Music Festival - NZ Music Month 201601/05/2016 11:00 am See this event on Facebook Dunedin Public Library
Celebrating NZ Music Month, Sunday 1st May the Dunedin Public Library will be flooded with live Dunedin music.
Beginning at 11am, you are invited to come and explore the City Library's 4 floors to find more than 45 original musical performances hidden in the nooks and crannies of the building. Music will be performed between bookcases, on top of desks, in elevators and more. The event is FREE and all members of the community are welcome.
Additionally, Dunedin music icons Graeme Downes (The Verlaines) & Martin Phillipps (The Chills) will be hosting seminars on their experiences in the music industry.
All performances will be recorded thanks to help from the Otago Polytechnic, and you are also invited to help out by filming using your smartphones, cameras or tablets. Footage you take can be donated to the artists via computers available at the event.
So come along, support NZ music and get inspired!
